City Council Meeting
MINUTES
January 4, 2010
City Council Chambers

7:00 p.m.
1. Roll Call. Councilors Bennett, Blanchard, Bouchard, Mayor Bouley, Councilors Coen, DelloIacono, Grady, Keach, McClure, Nyhan, Patten, St. Hilaire, Shurtleff, Stetson and Werner were present.
2. The Pledge of Allegiance was done.
3. Councilor Blanchard’s grandchildren Sarah, Becca, Zach and Mandy sang the Star Spangled Banner.
4. City Clerk Janice Bonenfant performed the ceremonial swearing in of Mayor Bouley.
5. Mayor Bouley performed the ceremonial swearing in of Members of City Council.
6. Nominations for Mayor Pro Tem.
Councilor Nyhan moved to nominate Councilor St. Hilaire to another two year term as Mayor Pro Tem for 2010-2011. Councilor Nyhan spoke to his motion indicating Councilor St. Hilaire has done a great job the past two years. Councilor Bennett seconded the motion, stating it was an honor to do so.
7. Election of Mayor Pro Tem.
Action: Councilor Nyhan’s motion to appoint Councilor St. Hilaire to the position of Mayor Pro Tem for 2010-2011 was unanimously approved.
8. Remarks by Mayor Pro Tem.
Mayor Pro Tem St. Hilaire thanked members of City Council for his reappointment to the position of Mayor Pro Tem stating it would be an honor and privilege to continue to serve the City Council in this manner. Mayor Pro Tem St. Hilaire thanked members of city Council, city staff, the citizens of Concord and his family and friends for their continued support.
9. Inaugural Address by Mayor Bouley
Mayor Bouley addressed members of City Council, staff as well as members of the public with his inaugural remarks.
10. Comments by Members of City Council.
Councilor Keach thanked members of City Council as well constituents within Ward Ten and members of his family for their continued support.
Newly elected At Large City Councilor Mike DelloIacono thanked his wife and children as well as residents of the community for their support.
Newly elected Ward Four Councilor Amanda Grady thanked her parents, her husband Alex, her friends and the residents of the community for their support.
Councilor Blanchard thanked the public for their support in electing her to her fifth consecutive term as a member of City Council. She also thanked her grandchildren for coming and singing the Star Spangled Banner at tonight’s meeting.
11. Adjournment.
There being no additional Council business, Councilor Nyhan moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:26 p.m.
