May 15, 2009 Update:
Next week, the contractor will be completing this project by finishing pavement markings and final striping.
May 8, 2009 Update:
Next week should bring the placement of the thermoplastic crosswalk pavement markings at the following locations: Borough Road at Primrose Lane; Manor Road at Abbott Road; Abbott Road at Wildflower Drive; and Abbott Road at Alder Creek Drive. With the placement of these pavement markings, this project will be complete.
May 1, 2009 Update:
All disturbed areas have been seeded and the sidewalk on Borough Road is complete. Next week, the contractor will focus on pavement markings.
April 24, 2009 Update
Next week, the contractor, JGE Enterprises, will have the sidewalk on Borough Road constructed to crushed gravel grade with granite curb in place, awaiting only pavement and concrete tip downs. The contractor has elected to wait to hydroseed the Manor/Abbott Road section of the project until the last piece of Borough Road is fully constructed, at which time they will complete both sections of the work. This last phase of the project is progressing nicely and it is expected to be completed during the first week of May.
April 17, 2009 Update:
The contractor, JGE Enterprise, will begin work on Monday. Next week they will be loaming and seeding the back of the sidewalk on Abbott and Manor Road, and will commence constructing 235 feet of sidewalk on the north side of Borough Road, between Primrose Lane and Millstream Lane. Traffic delays will be minimal and work is scheduled for completion by mid-May.
November 21, 2008 Update:
The paving of the sidewalk on Abbott Road will be complete today. Loam will be placed on the disturbed areas next week.
November 14, 2008 Update:
The contractor will be paving the Abbott Road section of the new sidewalk from Wildflower Drive to Alder Creek Drive. They will also be placing concrete tip downs. If weather conditions allow, the contractor will then mobilize to the Borough Road section of the project, between Millstream Lane and Primrose Lane.
November 7, 2008 Update:
The contractor has moved operations to the Abbott Road section of the project, from Wildflower Drive to Alder Creek Drive. This work will start with the installation of new drainage features on Abbott Road, and excavating and placing select gravels in the new sidewalk box. Finish paving of the Manor Road sidewalk section, from Sorrell Drive to #90 Manor Road, should be completed by the end of next week.

October 31, 2008 Update:
The contractor continues to work on this project. Next week, they will be paving the sidewalk from Randlett Street to #90 Manor Road. The back of the sidewalk will then be loamed and seeded.
October 24, 2008 Update:
Next week will bring new granite curb installation from Randlett Street east to 90 Manor Road. Paving should also commence on the temporary sidewalk from Wildflower Drive to 90 Manor Road.
October 17, 2008 Update:
The sidewalk is complete on Manor Road from Welch Street to Randlett Street, aside from hydro seeding. Work continues east of Randlett Street to Abbott Road with curb installation scheduled for the week of October 27th.
October 10, 2008 Update:
Sidewalk construction on Manor Road is well under way. Next week, the contractor will be base paving the sidewalks from Welch Street to Randlett Street and continuing to install curbing from Randlett Street easterly. The week will finish up with loam being placed along the back slope of the paved sidewalks.
October 3, 2008 Update:
Next week, the contractor will begin installing granite curbing from Welch Street eastward. Further grubbing and excavating is anticipated from Sorrell Drive east to Abbott Road.
September 26, 2008 Update:
On Tuesday, the contractor, JGE Enterprise, Inc., mobilized on Manor Road in order to clear trees in preparation for the new sidewalk construction. On Monday, sidewalk construction will commence on Manor Road in the vicinity of Welch Street and progressing south. During this time, Manor Road will be restricted to eastbound traffic only. Westbound traffic will be detoured on Abbott Road.
September 12, 2008 Update:
Next week, the contractor, JGE Enterprises, will begin to clear trees on Manor Road in preparation for the new sidewalk. The one-way, east bound detour on Manor Road will take effect in the middle of the week of September 22nd.
September 5, 2008 Update:
The contract to construct new sidewalks on Manor Road, between Fisherville Road and Abbott Road; and on Abbott Road, south of Manor Road and Borough Road, between Millstream Lane and Primrose Lane was awarded to JGE Enterprises of Bedford, NH. Sidewalk construction on Manor Road is scheduled through mid- November. During this time, Manor Road will be restricted to ONE WAY east bound from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Traffic traveling toward Fisherville Road will be detoured to Abbott Road. Weather pending, sidewalk construction of the southerly section of Abbott Road and Borough Road will commence in the spring.
August 1, 2008 Update:
A preconstruction meeting was held on July 30th with JGE Enterprises of Bedford, NH. This project is to construct approximately 4,500 lineal feet of bituminous sidewalk with granite curbing in the following locations: a small section of Borough Road by Millstream Lane; the south side of Manor Road, east of Welch Street; and on Abbott Road, south of Manor Road. The project cost is $420,000 and will commence in the beginning of September.
