items in its collection. In addition to books and magazines, there
are DVDs and videos, 4,000 music compact discs, over 1,000 spoken
word titles (books on tape and on CD), and 6,000 large print books.
Borrowing Those entitled to a free library card are adults and
children who are residents of Concord and Penacook, students living in Concord while
attending school, businesses located in Concord, and out-of-town residents who
own property in Concord and their immediate families. Cards may be applied
for at the Circulation Desk. Proof of Concord address and a picture ID are required, for
example, a driver's license, utility bill, or bank statement. For your
convenience, you may print the

Desk with the required identification. All regular card renewals must be
done in person at the appropriate Circulation Desk. Businesses must submit
a letter (on business letterhead) to request renewal of their library card.
Most materials are loaned for four weeks. Videos and
DVDs are loaned for a
seven day period.
New adult books and magazines are loaned for two weeks. Spoken word on cassette, spoke word on CD, and music
on CD circulate for four weeks. Reference materials do not circulate.
All four-week books may be renewed once, for the same loan period, if
there is no reserve on the item. The items may be renewed online
through your account following the instructions at
http://mls.concordnh.gov/patroninfo If you are having problems
accessing your account, or if you do not yet have a PIN, or if you do
not have online access to our catalog at all, you may call the library
during regular library hours and our staff will assist you with your
account, and renewing your materials over the phone. Please have
your library card number available when you call to renew materials.
A library card should be presented each time materials are borrowed.
Patrons are responsible for all materials borrowed, i.e., for all overdue
fines incurred, and for the replacement cost of lost or damaged materials. Loss of card or change of
physical mailing address or email address should be reported promptly.
One self-check unit is available on the Main Floor
