Skating

The Everett Arena offers ice skating from mid-September through mid-March. During the ice skating season, the arena offers public skating, stick practice, skating lessons for beginners, learn to play hockey, travel youth hockey, and high school hockey. 


Public Skating

Public skating has ended for the season on March 16, 2016 and will return in September 2016 when the arena converts back to an ice arena. Skating hours will be Monday through Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Admission will be $5 (kids ages 3 and under are free) and skate rentals will be available in the pro shop for $5. 


Adult Stick Practice
 
Adult stick practice (ages 14 and up) has ended for the season on March 16, 2016 and will return in September 2016 when the arena converts back to an ice arena. Practice hours occur Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Through November, additional stick practice is also offered Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Admission will be $10, goalies have free entry. Helmet and gloves are required, although all full equipment is recommended. 


Youth Stick Practice

Youth stick practice (ages 13 and under) season will return from September 2016 through November 2016. Practice hours will occur on Friday afternoons from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Admission will be $7 per person; goalies have free entry and full equipment is required.


Skating Lessons

Skating Lessons are offered through Concord Parks & Recreation. There are two sessions. Session one is from November through December. Session two occurs January through February. All classes have limited registration. Registration cannot be done at the Everett Arena. Registration must be done with Parks and Recreation by mail, fax, online, or in person. 

Children 6 and under are required to wear helmets. Participants must use single blade skates only (no double runner skates) and come with mittens/gloves. Lessons are held at the Everett Arena for ages 4 and up. The cost is $89 for residents and $99 for non-residents.

Skill Levels
Basic Beginner - Those who have never skated and cannot stand up alone.
Beginner - Those who can stand up and skate forward.
Intermediate - Those who had lessons can skate forward, backward, and cross cut.

Itsy Bitsy Skaters Program
Concord Parks & Recreation also offers an Itsy Bitsy Skaters Program for children ages 3 to 5. Skating occurs in two sessions. Session one is from November through December. Session two occurs January through February. Both sessions occur on Wednesdays from 1:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. The $86 / $96 program fee also includes public skating for the child for the day (11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) at the Everett Arena.
